Welcome to Welmers.net, the one-man business of Bastiaan Welmers, dealing with several interresting technologies, like Linux and BSD systems, hosting websites, online applications and content, developing websites and applications, developing hardware varying from power electronics to bicycle parts.

Welmers.net computer network

Most parts of Welmers.net are currently running on my own machine collocated at DCG Networks in Amsterdam Sloterdijk by Coloclue. This machine runs Debian GNU/Linux and uses Linux-VServer to seperate the integral parts like DNS, shell, www, mail and customer own vpses.

Welmers.net is currently serving shell accounts, website hosting, mail accounts, backup space and vpses. Besides that content like photo galleries, blogs, wiki is served, and an IRC server is running.

IPV6

The computer network of Welmers.net is IPV6 ready. Most of the services are already accessible via IPV6.

Website and application developing

Bastiaan Welmers currently develops sites in PHP and MySQL. Future goals are learning or improving Java, Python and C++
